Sleeveless dress by comme des garçons (SS1995). It takes as its starting point a tailored vest / waistcoat (worsted wool front / cupra satin back), but then extends it to (maxi) dress length. This is born out in details as well as fabrication: most obviously the back waist belt but also the tuck at the front neck (usually seen on the back lining of tailored jackets to make sure there is some give, so not strictly waistcoat-referring but within the broader category of tailoring-referring). Also has three patch pockets, two larger ones near the waist and one, slightly smaller, at the left breast.
